Undead Film Lab

Welcome to Undead Film Lab, Carson City’s newest and only film lab offering high quality film development and scanning. We are on a mission to support the revitalization of film photography to keep this art form alive. As Carson City’s only film lab and the only shop dedicated to purely analog photography in all of Northern Nevada; we are your premier source for everything from fresh film stocks to bags to new and used film cameras.

Undead was started by Chris Harveybyrd after an unfortunate dirt bike accident put him out of work as a real estate photographer. During his recovery time he fell back in love with shooting film as it is a slower more focused form of photography. As more rolls were shot he became frustrated with the growing cost and varying turnaround times and wanted a faster process for his own photography. Seeing the growth and resurgence in the industry Undead was born to serve both new and veteran film photographers and bring cost down in an otherwise expensive hobby.

Undead Film Lab is conveniently located just 30 minutes south of Reno on the northern end of Carson City. With two convenient drop boxes both in Reno (at the Holland Project) and at our store front here in Carson City we make developing film easy and convenient for all in the greater Reno area.
